Social Media Coordinator

The Bruce Porter for Santa Barbara County Supervisor campaign is looking to hire a Social Media Content Coordinator to work both independently and directly with senior campaign staff to develop and execute the campaign’s social media strategy for Isla Vista and UCSB.

Core Responsibilities 

  • Create engaging text, video, and image content for social media accounts

  • Monitor, report on, and handle engagement of social media accounts

  • Maintain and update social media accounts as needed

  • Make executive decisions regarding the release of social media content

Secondary Responsibilities 

  • Door-to-door voter engagement

  • Tabling on campus and in IV


At least one (1) of the following is required:

  • Previous experience in maintaining social media accounts for a company, club, organization, etc.

  • Ability to demonstrate exceptional experience and capability in maintaining personal social media accounts

  • Upperclassmen standing in Communications, Marketing, or other applicable degrees

Time Requirement

  • 15-20 hours/week


  • $15 an hour
